China issues national standard to specify requirements for treatment and disposal of waste printed circuit board

On June 29, 2024, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued the voluntary national standard “Requirements for treatment and disposal of waste printed circuit board” (GB/T 44157-2024). The standard took effect immediately. The standard specifies the requirements for treatment and disposal of waste printed circuit board respectively, as well as the environmental protection requirements.

Requirements for treatment of waste printed circuit board

Requirements for dismantling and sorting waste circuit boards, crushing, sorting, pyrolysis, dry metallurgy, wet metallurgy, and recycling waste resin powder are specified in the standard respectively.
