China to deliberate on draft of Law on Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals in 2024 
On May 9,2024, the Chinese State Council announced the “2024 Legislative Work Plan”. According to the plan, the draft of the Law on Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals will be deliberated in the 2024. The draft of the Law on Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals was released in October 2020, which is an upgrade of the Regulation on Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals. The draft emphasizes stricter safety management in the production, storage, sale, transportation, and research and development of hazardous chemicals, as well as strengthening safety management in the use of hazardous chemicals.
