China launches financial incentive fund for WEEE processors

On March 29, 2024, China’s Ministry of Finance published draft measures to create a special fund for incentives for the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). This fund is intended to provide financial support for WEEE processors as the old fund set up for WEEE disposal subsidies has now been abolished. The ministry is seeking comments on the draft through April 30, 2024. Here is an overview of the draft measures.
