China’s Jiangsu province issues experimental measures on incentives for zero-waste city development

On Jan. 9, 2024, The Department of Finance and the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangsu province, China, issued "Experimental Provincial Measures on Incentives for Zero-Waste City Development", which came into effect immediately.

These measures are based on the Program of Jiangsu Province for Province-wide “Zero-waste City” Development1, the Measures of Jiangsu Province on the Dedicated Funds for Ecological and Environmental Protection2 and other requirements. The measures aim to accelerate the province-wide high-quality development of zero-waste cities, and promote green and low-carbon urban development.
