Vietnam fully amends Decree on detailed provisions of Law on Water Resources

On February 1, 2023, the Vietnamese government promulgated the Decree No. 02/2023/ND-CP Detailing a Number of Articles of Law on Water Resources (hereinafter “the Decree”). The Decree came into effect on March 20, 2023, and accordingly, the previous Decree No. 201/2013/ND-CP was invalidated.The Decree reflects all the recent amendments made to the previous Decree No. 201/2013/ND-CP, which had been partially amended by Article 167 of the Decree No. 08/2022/ND-CP Detailing a Number of Articles of Law on Environmental Protection. The Decree No. 08/2022/ND-CP was established and enacted in accordance with the full revision of Law on Environmental Protection.
