Vietnam Partially Amends Decree on Direct Power Purchase Agreements for Renewable Energy

On 26 June 2026, the Vietnamese Government issued the Decree No. 243/2026/NĐ-CP amending and supplementing Decree No. 57/2025/NĐ-CP, which sets out the mechanism for direct power purchase agreements (DPPA) between renewable energy power generators and large electricity consumers; and Decree No. 58/2025/ND-CP, which sets out detailed provisions of the Electricity Law regarding the development of renewable and new energy.
