Malaysia Agrees to Legislative Transformation for Circular Economy of Solid Waste Management

After its establishment in 2023, the National Circular Economy Council (NCEC) has agreed to a legislative transformation for circular economy of solid waste management, according to a media statement by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government dated May 1, 2024. This was the result of consultations among ministries including the ministry and NCEC, industry players, NGOs, academics and others.
