Taiwan MoEA Revises Energy-Saving Label Standards for Refrigerators, Effective January 1, 2027

On November 7, 2025, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs announced the promulgation of the revised “Energy Efficiency Standards and Labeling Methods for Energy-Saving Label on Refrigerators.” The revised version will take effect on January 1, 2027.

It should be noted that Taiwan’s Energy-Saving Label differs from the mandatory energy efficiency label; it is a voluntary labeling system for which manufacturers may apply. After reviewing and confirmation that the product meets the specified energy efficiency standards, the designated Energy-Saving Label may be affixed to the product.
