South Korea bans import and sale of products interfering with normal operation of vehicle emission control-related components

A bill to amend certain provisions of the Clean Air Conservation Act passed the plenary session of the National Assembly of South Korea on February 27, 2025, and was transferred to the government on March 14. The bill includes provisions to enhance the effectiveness of the emission control system, such as banning the import and sale of urea water neutralization devices and, in principle, prohibiting their transport into and sale in South Korea;
