China drafts revision on declaration of import and export

On Nov. 4, 2022, China’s General Administration of Customs released draft revised provisions on imported and exported goods declaration at customs to seek comments. These provisions set out requirements and procedures for the declaration and examination of imported and exported goods at customs. The draft revision defines the word “declaration” more clearly, and extends the advance declaration period for imported and exported goods from three to seven days.
