China requires energy efficiency label for welding machines and two other products

On November 29, 2023, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the State Administration for Market Regulation released the “Product catalog for energy efficiency labeling in China (16^thBatch) ” and related implementation rules. The 16^th batch product catalog adds welding machines, LED flat panel luminaires and commercial induction cookers as regulated products. The energy efficiency label implementation rules for these 3 products will be effective from June 1, 2024.
