China publishes guidelines, registration rules for projects, trading of voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction

On Nov. 17, 2023, China’s National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation published on its website experimental registration rules for voluntary greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction projects and emission reduction credits, and guidelines on the design and operation of voluntary GHG emission reduction projects, both of which came into effect immediately.
