China seeks comments on draft revised national standard for setting limits on energy consumption per manufactured product

On Oct. 13, 2023, the China National Institute of Standardization published a draft recommended national standard called the General Principles for Establishing Allowance of Energy Consumption per Unit Throughput. This is a revision of the 2013 version of the standard. The institute is seeking comments on the draft through Nov. 18, 2023.

The draft standard sets out general rules for standards that set limits on energy consumption per manufactured product, legal bases and principles for these standards, and how to use these standards.
