Chinese industrial association releases technical standard for hair dryers

On July 18, 2023, the China Household Electrical Appliances Association published an association standard called “Hair Dryers” (T/CHEAA 0022-2023), which came into effect immediately.

This new standard contains terminology, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules for hair dryers as well as requirements for labeling, statements, packaging and transportation. The technical requirements include requirements for safety, noise limits, airflow, drying rates, drying times and restricted substance labeling.
