China notifies WTO of draft revised list of dangerous goods as mandatory national standard

On June 26, 2023, China’s State Administration for Market Regulation and Standardization Administration submitted to the WTO a TBT notification of a draft revised mandatory national standard titled the “List of Dangerous Goods” (GB 12268). Comments on the draft will be accepted for 60 days after the notification. A publication date of the standard has not been set, but according to a related government document, it will come into effect after a 12-month transition period from the publication.
