China implements environmental risk management regulations on five POPs

On June 6, 2023, China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Emergency Management and eight other government departments issued an announcement of environmental risk management regulations on five persistent organic pollutants (POPs), including polychlorinated naphthalenes. The announcement came into effect immediately.
