Singapore to raise MEPS for home appliances from April 2024

On January 4, 2023, proposed amendments to the Energy Conservation (Regulated Goods and Registered Suppliers) Regulations were published in Singapore, and public consultation on the proposal was started. The proposed amendments establish new or raised Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) for air conditioners, refrigerators, lamps, and televisions. They also newly add T5 LFL/LED and portable air conditioners to the list of regulated goods. The public consultation is open for one month, until February 3, 2023.
