Singapore notifies WTO of bill banning interior paints containing formaldehyde

On August 16, 2024, the National Environment Agency (NEA) of Singapore notified the WTO/TBT of the draft Environmental Protection and Management Act (Amendment of Second Schedule) Order 2024. This bill bans interior paints containing formaldehyde and is expected to be published in the Official Gazette in January 2025 and come into effect in January 2026.
