Singapore enacts electric vehicle charging law

In Singapore, an order amending the Schedule of the Electric Vehicles Charging Act 2022 ("the Act") which is promulgated on January 25, 2023, to provide for a notification setting forth the effective date of the Act and for transitional measures, and nine subordinate Decrees were promulgated on December 7, 2023. The Act came into force on December 8, 2023, with the exception of some provisions of Article 4, which define the operators of charging stations, electric vehicle (EV) charging services and related terms.
