Taiwan drafts MEPS standards for electric storage water heater

On December 9, 2022, the Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan officially announced the revision of the notice “Allowable Energy Consumption standards, as well as labelling items, methods, and inspection methods for the energy efficiency rating of electric storage water heater products”, which defines the MEPS (Minimum Energy Performance Standards) for electric storage water heater products. The new revision raised the basic standard values for MEPS as well as individual energy efficiency grades (from Grade 1 to Grade 5).
