Taiwan announces revised inspection regulation for digital video cameras and digital cameras

On September 6, 2022, the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI), M.O.E.A of Taiwan officially announced the revised inspection regulation for digital video cameras and digital cameras. Under the former regulation, the inspection method for digital video cameras and digital cameras was “declaration of conformity”. Meanwhile, under the revised regulation, in order to strengthen the inspection for the above products, the inspection method has been changed to “registration of conformity (type test method + declaration of conformity)” or “type approved batch inspection”. The inspection based on the revised regulation will be implemented from January 1, 2025. In addition, all of the above products are subject to Taiwan RoHS regulations.
