Taiwan to regulate use of carbon footprint labels

On December 6, 2024, the Ministry of Environment of Taiwan published a draft of the “Voluntary Product Carbon Footprint Management Measures”. The public comment period will end 30 days after the publication date of the draft. The carbon footprint system has been introduced in Taiwan since 2010, and there are about 600 valid carbon footprint labels in use as of December 2024.
