South Korean environmental agency to notify children’s products to be evaluated for hazardous chemicals

On July 26, 2024, the Ministry of Environment (MOE) of the South Korea issued a proposed Public Notice on Children's Products Subject to Hazard Assessment for Environmental Hazardous Factors (Ministry of Environment Public Notice 2024-472). The Ministry explained that the proposed Notice specifies children's products for which hazard assessment must be performed because the use of the products may expose users to environmental hazard factors, including toys and stationery to be mainly used by children.
