Hong Kong Amends “Toys and Children’s Products Safety Ordinance” to Update Safety Standards for Specific Products

On March 13, 2026, the Hong Kong Government published the Toys and Children's Products Safety Ordinance (Amendment of Schedules 1 and 2) Notice 2026 in the Gazette. The purpose of this amendment is to update the safety standards for "toys" and "four specific categories of children's products listed in Schedule 2." These updates include revised standards for the migration of certain chemical elements. The notice will take effect on August 1, 2026.
