On February 20, 2026, the Environment and Ecology Bureau of Hong Kong announced amendments to Schedule 2 of the Pesticides Ordinance. Following updates to the Rotterdam Convention, the chemicals carbosulfan and fenthion (specifically ultra-low volume formulations with an active ingredient concentration of 640 g/L or higher) have been added to Part 1 of Schedule 2, titled "Pesticides Listed in the Rotterdam Convention." These amendments will take effect on April 17, 2026.
