China releases draft mandatory national standard for static electricity accident prevention

On Dec. 12, 2022, China’s Ministry of Emergency Management released a draft mandatory national standard that sets out common requirements for static electricity accident prevention to seek public comments, which will be accepted through Feb. 11, 2023. This standard would replace two mandatory national standards called the General Guideline for Preventing Electrostatic Accidents (GB 12158-2006) and the Safety Rules of Static Electricity With Relation to Liquid Petroleum Products (GB 13348-2009) by combining them into one standard.
