China publishes measures on energy conservation audit in industry 
On July 5, 2022, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released draft measures to implement energy conservation audit in the industry sector, in order to seek public comments; and five months later on Dec. 12, 2022, the final version of the measures was issued.
The final version has substantial differences from the draft; it includes new obligations of companies that receive an audit, new on-site audit items, and changes to the audit items and penalties.
