China adds 22 chemicals into the “List of existing chemical substances”

On July 19, 2022, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China released a list of 22 chemical substances, which will be added into the “List of existing chemical substances”, on its homepage. The 22 chemical substances released this time are those that supplemental applications(※), which submitted by enterprises or related industrial associations, have been reviewed by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and were judged to meet the supplemental criteria stipulated in the “Methods for environmental management and registration of new chemical substances” and the “Guidelines for environmental management and registration of new chemical substances”.
