China releases 13 national standards of self-monitoring technological guidelines for pollution sources

On the April 27, 2022, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China released totally 13 national environmental standards - “Self-monitoring technological guidelines for pollution sources” for electronics industry and other 12 industries such as printing industry, ceramics industry, and industrial solid waste and hazardous waste treatment industry. All of the above-mentioned 13 standards will come into effect on July 1, 2022. According to the provisions stipulated in the “Regulations on the administration of pollutant emission permits”, the pollution emitters shall carry out self-monitoring of the pollutants they emit. Specified requirements such as substances to be monitored, and the frequency and position of monitoring are stipulated in these standards released this time.
