China China submits WTO/TBT notifications on three sets of draft regulations for cosmetic products

On 18 November, 2020, China’s National Medical Products Administration submitted WTO/TBT notifications on three sets of draft regulations for cosmetic products listed below. The comment period for the drafts is 60 days from the notification date. The publication and effective dates have not been set at this writing.

Reference information

The Regulations on the Supervision of Cosmetics, which were revised in June 2020, classifies cosmetics into general and special cosmetics; special cosmetics are managed by the registration-based management system and general cosmetics by the notification-based management system.
