China adds 36 chemicals to the existing chemical substances inventory

On November 25, 2024, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China announced the addition of 36 chemical substances to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances on its website. Among these 36 chemical substances, 6 are substances that have been confirmed to have been manufactured in or imported into China before October 15, 2003, and meet the supplementary requirements set out in the “Methods for environmental management and registration of new chemical substances” and the “Guidelines for environmental management and registration of new chemical substances”.
