Shanghai, China requires hazardous chemicals to be labeled with tracking code

On February 4, 2024, the Shanghai Municipal Emergency Management Bureau and the Transportation Commission jointly issued the “Notice on promoting the informatization management of inbound and outbound management, loading and unloading management of hazardous chemicals based on tracking code”. The Notice was issued based on the “Measures on hazardous chemicals safety management in Shanghai” and took effect on the date of promulgation.
