China revises regulations on work in confined spaces

On December 8, 2023, the Ministry of Emergency Management of China announced the revised “Safety regulations for work in confined spaces in industrial and trade enterprises”. The revised Regulations will come into effect on January 1, 2024, and at the same time, the “Interim regulations on safety management and supervision of work in confined spaces in industrial and trade enterprises” promulgated in 2023 will be abolished.
