China’s Anhui province issues mandatory standard for water pollutant discharge in Nansi Lake basin

On Sept. 4, 2023, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Anhui province, China, published a mandatory local standard called the Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard for Nansi Lake Basin (DB34/4542-2023). Entities in the province that directly discharge water pollutants within the Nansi Lake basin must follow the concentration limits for discharged pollutants set by the standard. The target area covers Zhouzhai, Xuanmiao, Geji and Tangzhai towns of Suzhou city, Anhui.
