China publishes technical specifications for application of industrial noise discharge permit

On August 4, 2023, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China published the National Ecological Environmental Standard, “Technical specifications for application and issuance of pollutant discharge permits — Industrial Noise” (HJ 1301-2023). The Law on Noise Pollution Control, which was revised in December 2021, incorporates "industrial noise" into the pollutant discharge permit system.
