Scope of application
Applicable to the determination of the following 6 kinds of acrylates in ambient air, air of fugitive emission of fixed pollution sources monitoring point, and organized waste gases emission.

The standard specifies the methods and limits on measuring acrylic esters listed above by gas chromatography.
According to the explanatory documents for the standards, acrylic esters are mainly used in industries such as painting and adhesives, both national and local standards stipulate their emission limits. Examples of each standard are shown below respectively.
- National standard GB 31572-2015 “Emission standard of pollutants for synthetic resin industry”
Emission limit for methyl acrylate: 50mg/m3 (general limit for organic emission)
- Shanghai local standard DB 31/933-2015 “Integrate emission standards of air pollutants”
Emission limit for acrylic esters※: 50mg/m3 (organic emission)
Emission limit for methyl acrylate：0.4 mg/m3 ( boundary of factory site)
