China’s Guangdong province publishes revised regulations on work safety

On July 27, 2023, the government of China’s Guangdong province published revised provincial regulations on work safety, which will come into effect Oct. 1, 2023.  The regulations were first issued in 2002, and revised in 2006, 2013 and 2017. The 2013 version was the first major revision. The latest 2023 version is the second major revision after that. The new revised regulations focus on occupational accident response, hazardous chemical emergency response, and so on.
