China, Energy Efficiency Label Implementation Product List (15th)

On April 21, 2020, the China National Development and Reform Commission and the Directorate General of State Market Surveillance officially promulgated the “Energy Efficiency Label Implementation Product List (15th) and Related Implementation Rules”. The outlines are as follows.

Newly added items on the “Energy Efficiency Label Implementation Product List”

This time, the following five items are newly added to the list as “15^th version”.

For each of the above 5 items, “Energy Efficiency Label Implementation Rules” have been newly enacted. The implementation rules stipulate specific specifications for label as well as expression for each item.

Implementation rules for current three items have been also revised

The “Implementation Rules” for the following three items being so far included in the “Energy Efficiency Label Implementation Product List” were also additionally revised this time.

(Note) For products shipped or imported before the label implementation date, the energy efficiency label may be attached based on the revised implementation regulations within one year from the label implementation date.
