Vietnam promulgates Law on Water Resources 2023

On November 27, 2023, the Vietnamese National Assembly promulgated the Law on Water Resources (28/2023/QH15). This law fully revises the existing Law on Water Resources 2012 (17/2012/QH13) and will come into effect on July 1, 2024. It consists of 86 articles in 10 chapters regulating the management, protection, harmonization, allocation, restoration, development and use of water resources, as well as the prevention of and response to water-related damage.

Chapter 4 of the Law regulates the development of water resources in manufacturing enterprises.
