Vietnam proposes new Decree on cosmetics control

On November 11, 2023, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam submitted a proposal document of draft Decree on the Management of Cosmetics (hereinafter "the Draft") to the Prime Minister. The Draft regulates the management of both cosmetic products manufactured in Vietnam and those imported from other countries and distributed in Vietnam, and aims to resolve problems with the current regulations. Specifically, the Draft proposes to add regulations on product labeling and product information data, and to strengthen the management of domestic manufacturing facilities.
