Malaysia Enforces Compliance of Standards by Fire Safety Equipment Installations

Malaysia has published the Fire Services (Fire-fighting Equipment or Fire Safety Installation) Regulations 2026 on January 30, 2026. Under the Fire Services Act 1988 and its 2025 amendment, all installed fire-fighting equipment and safety installations shall comply with specified standards. The latest regulations now specified all equipment and their corresponding Malaysian or international standards. The regulations came into operation on February 3, 2026.
