Malaysia Issues Circular on 43rd ASEAN Cosmetic Directive Regarding Amendments to Prohibited and Restricted Ingredients

The National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) of Malaysia issued a circular on July 6, 2026, to adopt the amendments to the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD) based on the 43rd ASEAN Cosmetic Committee (ACC) meeting. This amendment revises the restrictions on prohibited ingredients, restricted ingredients, coloring agents and preservatives in cosmetic products, where these revisions have also been reflected in the country's Guidelines for Control of Cosmetic Products in Malaysia.
