Malaysia Announces Its 2026-2035 Energy Efficiency Policy

The Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) of Malaysia published a policy titled National Energy Efficiency Policy and Action Plan 2026-2035 (NEEAP 2.0) on August 11, 2026. Replacing its predecessor, the "National Energy Efficiency Action Plan 2016-2025," the policy outlines energy conservation targets, action plans, projected electricity savings for the industrial, commercial, and residential sectors for the upcoming 10 years through year 2035.
