Malaysia Publishes 10 Guidelines for Implementation of the Energy Efficiency & Conservation Act

Malaysia’s Energy Commission has published 10 total guidelines under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2024 on December 30, 2024, all of which came into effect since January 1, 2025. The guidelines seek to provide details on provisions which were not made clear in the Act and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Regulations 2024, such as application of energy consumers and buildings, format of reports to be submitted, scope of energy-using products and more.
