Taiwan releases quality standard for water purifiers

On September 8, 2022, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan released the “Technical specifications for testing the quality of drinking water generated from water purifiers”. And the standard came into force on the same day. The standard applies to testing the safety requirements of water quality for water generated from water purifiers with filtration or purification functions. The standard stipulates standard values for judging the suitability of various substances potentially contained in water, such as metals and volatile organic compounds. Water generated from the purifiers must meet these standard values.
