Taiwan revises rules for recycling general kitchen waste

On July 27, 2022, Taiwan’s Environmental Protection Administration announced a revision of its rules for general waste disposal, which are called the General Waste Removal and Disposal Processes.

Article 14 of the Waste Disposal Act of Taiwan states that “For the clearance and disposal of general waste … perform the clearance and disposal in accordance with the methods announced or approved by the central competent authority.” The above-mentioned rules have been formulated based on this provision by the Environmental Protection Administration, the “central competent authority”.
