Taiwan publishes draft revised regulations on organic solvent poisoning prevention

On Dec. 26, 2024, Taiwan’s Ministry of Labor published draft revisions to the Regulations on Prevention of Organic Solvent Poisoning. The ministry is seeking comments on the draft through Feb. 24, 2025. The draft adds 1-bromopropane to the list of Type 2 organic solvents controlled under the regulations, introduces requirements for the design and installation of local exhaust systems, and revises how to calculate organic solvent consumption.
