Taiwan to amend regulation on recycling label to be displayed on plastic packaging

On April 25, 2024, the Ministry of Environment of Taiwan announced a draft amendment to the “Scope of responsible suppliers of articles or containers on which recycling labels shall be displayed, the size and location of label, and other compliance requirements” and started soliciting comments. The deadline for submitting comments is 60 days from the announcement date. The amendment is mainly made to add regulations for the recycling label to be displayed on plastic trays and blisters, which were newly added as regulated packaging last year.
