Taiwan to require factories to make new declaration when dangerous items changes

On January 30, 2024, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan announced a draft amendment to the “Measures on declaration of dangerous items handled in factory” and began soliciting public comments. The deadline for comments is 60 days from the date of publication of the draft amendment. According to the Article 21 of the “Factory management act”, which is a superordinate law of the Measures, the factory shall declare to the competent authorities within a designated time if the dangerous items manufactured, processed or used by the factory exceed the regulated quantity.
