Taiwan plans to include PFHxS to toxic chemicals list

On July 11, 2023, the Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan of Taiwan (Taiwan EPA) announced the draft amendment to the “Regulated Toxic Chemical Substances and Handling Management Matters”. The deadline for comments on the draft amendment is 30 days from the date of publication. The draft amendment includes perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), its salts and PFHxS-related compounds to the list of toxic chemicals subject to the regulation.
